Forum Management BoardThe Forum Management Board is responsible for setting the overall direction for the work of the Forum, taking decisions about the work programme, priorities, progress, challenges and opportunities.The Board is composed of a number of partners with a wide range of interests along the coast, from tourism to nature conservation. It has an independent chair who is elected on an annual basis by members of the Board. The chair for the year 2002/2003, elected in December 2002, is Laurence Rose. Laurence, who is Regional Director at the RSPB, has worked for 19 years as a professional in nature conservation and is a specialist in rural and regional policy and bio-diversity planning at European and English Regional levels. On being appointed as Chair, Laurence said: "I am delighted to have been appointed Chairman of this dynamic and forward thinking Forum. I hope to build upon the successes that have already been achieved and ensure the delivery of a challenging work programme which has already been set out for the year ahead."
